Reflection Climate change is essentially a term used as an umbrella to cover every aspect of the drastic shifts in our environment, particularly regarding human impact. For instance, carbonic pollution could be used as an example because it has drastically impacted our environment (breathing difficulties, increased global temperature, rising sea levels, etc.) in various ways since the Industrial Revolution in the 19th century and the mass increase of burning fossil fuels since that time period. This term could be attributed to many different concepts, as opposed to the term “global warming” which specifically refers to an increase in global temperature of 0.7 degrees celsius in a time period scaled to centuries. Earth has endured climate change since it first started forming a few billion years ago, however the reason we should be worried about it in our present era specifically is due to the fact that the earth’s climate has been changing dramatically within the past few centuries specifically since the mid 1800’s. This is due to the fact that human beings have left a significantly larger footprint than they had previously. This is due to the fact that we as a species have increased productions with industrial engines that run of fossil fuels that produce emissions. It’s also a growing issue among the common populus because it’s essentially invisible on a geopolitical level. My project displays my knowledge regarding climate change quite directly and descriptively, considering it’s formatted as a research paper, and contributions to a float that was erected with the intent to increase awareness on the topic. My original intent with this project was to concisely and clearly demonstrate and deliver my knowledge of climate change as efficiently as I could, and I decided the most practical option in that sense was to simply write as research paper. My largest area of growth throughout this experience would definitely be with my group and my cooperation with them. I took over a large piece of this project because I was skeptical of one’s academic capabilities and the other’s work ethic. Because of my opinions on the people I was working with, I was compelled to finish the project in my own way. Although it turned out well, I will certainly need more flexibility and patience with my groupmates. My greatest strength during this project was the fact that I was compelled to display my knowledge through a paper. I feel that I displayed my understanding of what climate change is in a very transparent and concise manner, and that during the actual exhibition that it allowed me do clearly and evidently display my ideas to an audience and follow is this presentation with interesting and fulfilling discourse.
